Another Saturday Night

Author: Leonard Latest revision: Nov. 12, 2016
Author’s Notes: For Cat to cover a song written by another artist is almost unthinkable, this Sam Cooke piece being the rare exception. Originally “Another Saturday Night” started off as a soundcheck song but was later recorded in Australia, with the horns being added in Japan; Cat himself didn’t play on the recording. This song with its jovial lyrics and upbeat mood would prove to be a fan favorite on live shows. What the original album recording lacks in arrangement, live shows would make up for.
